Congrats, Dr Irene!

Irene Gonzalez Cuadra defended her PhD work on the hormonal dynamics in the meristem linked to proliferative arrest. Proud supervisors, Paz and Cristina, and R. Solano, C. Martin Pizarro and K. Wabnik in the committee were happy to participate in her day.

Our last evofrulander

Estefania Elejalde has been our last visitor from the MCSA-RISE  Evofruland consortium. We have enjoyed her for three months, a lot of in situs done, and a lot of fun as well. Ah, and she is a great artist, author or the Evodevosignet logo too!

Guangzhou!

Our collaborator Fanjiang Kong invited Paco and Cristina to visit his lab in Guangzhou University in China. A really interesting experience with lots of science, exchanges, culture, food and great moments together. Thanks a lot, Fanjiang!

PhD committee in Kiel

Kea Ille and her supervisor, Siegbert Melzer, invited Cristina to her PhD defense. It was great to learn about their beautiful work in Brassica flowering and to visit Kiel University. Good science and fun. ANd even some collaborations came out!

Well done, Maria Jesus!

M. Jesús Lopez Martin brillianty defended her PhD on the characterization of proliferative arrest in tomato. Two proud supervisors, Concha and Cristina, and an awesome committee of S. Prat, J.M. Jimenez and M. Costa were happy to participate in her day.

Welcome Moises

Moisés Pérez Rojas just joined our team for a postdoctoral reserach funded by Mexican government. He had been here before for a short stay as an Evofrulander, and now, already a Ph.D., has come back to identify signals between seeds and meristems. Good luck!

Yesenia Madrigal (for 3 months) and Natalia Pabón-Mora (for one month) have been visiting the lab in the framework of our MCSA-RISE Evofruland project. We love these exchanges and our visitors too. As always, interesting collaborations come out

A new but remote doctor

Congrats, Edu Burillo, on his PhD defense viva. A hybrid format, since Edu now lives in Tasmania, with Marian Bemer, Antonio Serrano-Mislata and Héctor Candela in the committee. Here you can see the final outcome, with proud supervisors and the happy new doctor .
